Michael Ferro is a Healthcare Tech Entrepreneur.

As an entrepreneur, Ferro is well known for founding Click Commerce, a web-based software solutions company with a strong track record of implementing significant, large scale projects within leading academic medical centers, hospitals, and NIH funded research institutions.

Ferro has made influential contributions to the healthcare tech field through medical and diagnostic imaging patents along with his role as a re-creator of Merge Healthcare. Working with Merge Healthcare from 2008 to 2015, Ferro collaborated with top healthcare providers and research executives to help shape the future of the healthcare industry utilizing the latest AI medical imaging technology. 

Additionally, Ferro is the founder of Higi, a consumer health engagement company building innovative solutions to help individuals better understand, measure, and track their health data through a nationwide network of 10,000 FDA-cleared self-service Smart Health Stations and over 80 integrated health devices and apps.

Michael FerroEarly Career

From a young age, Ferro challenged his innovative, business mindset. Ferro founded the Internet software company Click Commerce in 1994.

With his early career success, Ferro was honored with the KPMG Illinois High Tech award as well as the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year in Technology Award. Additionally, he was named Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2003 by the National Entrepreneurs Organization and was one of the youngest individuals to earn a spot on the Forbes Tech’s 100 Highest Rollers list.

Invention and Innovation in Medical Imaging

One major aspect of Ferro’s career has been his innovative contributions to medical and diagnostic imaging, developing numerous registered patents with the USPTO. In his leadership role at Merge Healthcare from 2008 to 2015, Ferro made a lasting impact collaborating with health care providers to utilize the latest AI medical imaging technology to improve medical procedures and overall health and comfort for patients.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Ferro is passionate about giving back to his community while supporting a variety of respected charities and nonprofit organizations while also standing as a member of numerous philanthropic and leadership boards.
